Wangjing Biomedical Park
The design for a future-oriented Biomedical and Artificial Intelligence Park in Beijing, China, seamlessly integrates a total of about 450.000sqm of mixed-use spaces into one coherent masterplan. Rather than designing different buildings, we decided to create an integral, strong identity.
At the intersection of life and intelligence, the future of innovation takes form. The masterplan is conceived as a living organism - a place where the architecture itself becomes a catalyst for discovery, collaboration, and creation.

The masterplan draws its logic and poetry from the structure of DNA - the universal code of life and the foundation of both biomedicine and intelligence. Two intertwining helices - one representing Bio-medicine, the other Artificial Intelligence - define the spatial and symbolic order of the campus.Their continuous motion creates a series of intersections and distances, alternating between zones of intense collaboration and open green landscapes for reflection and exchange.Where the helices intertwine, innovation happens: research meets data, biology meets computation, and human creativity fuses with artificial intelligence. Where they drift apart, the landscape unfolds - a central park that breathes life into the campus and invites the city in.
